Green hydrogen, produced from CO2-neutral energy such as wind, water, solar and heat, will play a key role as an energy carrier and storage medium in the future energy industry in Germany and globally. iGas energy GmbH has developed the “Green Electrolyzer” for PEM-based hydrogen electrolysis in a modular and transportable design and scaled from 50 to 20 MW of electrical energy. Furthermore, iGas energy GmbH develops and implements process engineering systems such as the treatment of biogenic residues with the recovery of valuable materials.
As an industry-experienced and globally active contractual partner, the FEST Group will in future offer the design, planning and production for the turnkey construction and maintenance of these systems in a technological alliance with iGas energy GmbH and other partner companies under the “green-h2-systems” business segment. Based on the knowledge and experience of these companies, complete energy solutions are offered and implemented, from power supply from renewable energy sources to H2 generation, transportation and storage, through to commercial refuelling systems for vehicles. iGas energy GmbH and FEST GmbH have already successfully sold and implemented H2 electrolysis plants abroad and in Germany, the most important hydrogen market. The current megawatt projects are outstanding:
GAS SUPPLY, BERLIN REGION:
Production of green hydrogen and proportionate use of hydrogen in the public gas grid. Following the approval process, a PEM-based H2 electrolysis plant with a volume of 200 Nm3 corresponding to 1 MW of electrical energy will be supplied.
ENERGY SUPPLY, FRANKFURT REGION:
Production and use of hydrogen for refueling new hydrogen-powered regional trains of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund. A PEM-based H2 electrolysis system with a volume of 1,000 Nm3 corresponding to 5 MW of electrical energy is supplied.
