Hannover Messe 2025 was a complete success for FEST GmbH: With the exhibition of a fully equipped electrolyser container – the greenelectrolyzer – we presented our solution for the decentralized production of green hydrogen to an international audience of experts, politicians and industry. Equipped with the latest PEM stack technology from Bosch, the electrolyzer made green hydrogen production tangible for visitors at trade fair level for the first time – compact, modular and ready for industrial use. With this premiere, we impressively underlined what is already possible today: scalable, decentralized and industrial-grade hydrogen production – “Made by FEST”.

H2 technology you can touch: PEM electrolysis in container format
While many are talking about green hydrogen, we are showing how it can already be produced efficiently today. The greenelectrolyzer exhibited at the trade fair was not a model, but a real, operational container electrolyzer – equipped with all the system components required for hydrogen production using renewable energies: from water treatment, power electronics and gas purification to an intelligent control system – ready for operation and suitable for industrial use. With a total electrolysis output of 2.5 MW from two Bosch stacks, the container demonstrates how modular and practical green hydrogen can beproduced decentrally – ideal for industry, mobility and energy storage solutions.
FEST greenelectrolyzer: System solution for green hydrogen production
With the greenelectrolyzer, FEST GmbH offers a turnkey electrolysis plant that is characterized by its compact container design, high scalability and system integration. The available power classes (e.g. gEL400 with 2 MW, gEL600 with 3 MW or gEL1000 with 5 MW) allow a customized design for a wide range of applications.
We supply everything from a single source: electrolyser, peripherals, control system, safety concept and integration into existing energy systems. Ideal for the decentralized hydrogen production at the site of renewable energy generation – for example in wind farms, on industrial sites or near H2 filling stations. The exhibition container was therefore representative of a solution that we have already successfully implemented in several European projects.
Successful projects with FEST electrolyzers in Europe
The technology presented is no longer theoretical. It is already being used successfully in several European projects:
- Vienna, Austria: 3 MW electrolysis plant for supplying public transport with green hydrogen
- Hellesylt, Norway: 3 MW electrolysis plant to supply regional industry and for mobility applications
- HĂ¼nfeld-Michelsrombach, Germany: 5 MW system to supply an H2 filling station – coupled to wind energy
These examples demonstrate the reliability, efficiency and suitability for everyday use of our electrolysis systems – even in continuous operation.

The large crowds at Hannover Messe 2025 have shown: The demand for concrete solutions for the green hydrogen economy is enormous. The greenelectrolyzer was not just an exhibit, but a signal: the energy transition is technically feasible – with hydrogen, decentralized and directly applicable.
